ABOUT Tracy L. Ward

Born in Cambridge, Ontario, Tracy L. Ward attended a renowned arts high school where she received specialized training in three arts disciplines; drama, visual arts and vocal music, but it was the art of writing where she excelled the most.  Writing school newsletters, scripting plays and completing countless unpublished full-length novels has helped Tracy define her craft.

After graduation she attended Conestoga College's Journalism-Print program where she was granted the position of editor of the student newspaper, Spoke. Diploma in hand, she subsequently went on to write for the New Hamburg Independent before moving to Simcoe County and writing for the Stayner Sun, Wasaga Sun, Alliston Herald and other community news outlets.

While freelancing, she achieved Humber College's School for Writers' Advanced Diploma in Creative Writing and published her first novel, Chorus of the Dead, an historical mystery, in 2012. Her Marshall House Mysteries series has since grown to include seven books and continues to attract a dedicated following of readers. Her entire catalogue includes 10 books spanning two different mystery series, The Marshall House Mysteries and the Mercy Me Mysteries.

In June 2022, Tracy and her family moved to Prince Edward Island on the East Coast of Canada. When not writing Tracy can be found working in her vegetable and flower gardens.
